Requirements:

• Your car must be over 30 years old
• Your car must be inspected by a JDCSA inspector and meet the criteria
• You must be a financial member of the JDCSA
• Your registration must be endorsed by the JDCSA Secretary prior to driving the car
• You may only use the car 90 days a year 
• You must record all trips in your log book.

Steps to purchase a car under historic registration

1. Become a member of JDCSA (This will take a month, as your application must appear in our monthly magazine)
2. Get the car inspected by a JDCSA inspector, They will complete an Inspection Certificate.
3. Purchase the car from the vendor
4. Go to TransportSA with the Transfer, Registration and the Inspection Certificate
5. Register the car under the historic registration scheme
6. Arrange to have the new registration endorsed by the JDCSA Secretary
7. The JDCSA Secretary will issue you with your log book
8. Enjoy your Jaguar
